Anyway, so I shamelessly asked if we could visit him in his office…and the rest is history! The must-pose photo! Parking area has valet service and a free charging station for electric cars. We started with the Main Street wow, just like Disneyland! The layout was designed to resemble Palo Alto downtown. I was told the main campus sits on 57 acres of land with 9 buildings totalling 1 million sq ft office space!
I guess Facebook employees are so used to having visitors on their campus. Nobody batted an eyelid at the groups of visitors like us taking photos and selfies like crazy, at every corner!
And of course, the look of awe on our faces every time we come upon something fantastic on the site. And believe me, there were a LOT of fantastic stuff in Facebook! Triple scoop of chocolate, cherry sorbet, and mint with a cherry on top! Left: Ship Happens here Right: Be aware of foxes. Ship happens here at Facebook. Wherever you need to send your Ship, they have you covered! My favorite find? Learning there is a family of foxes that chose to raise their babies in the Zen garden on campus.
As this article states , the foxes adopted approximately 2, proud parents into their skulk what you call a group of foxes…who knew?
You better believe I took full advantage of all the Facebook and Instagram swag I could find. Kim had already gotten me a turquoise Instagram shirt. Even though I purchased larger sizes, he will outgrow them soon and my sister is already begging me for new ones. The problem is they can only be bought from the store on campus. Since they are rare and unique to the public, I should have known she would love them and thought to buy several in much bigger sizes! Whew, that concludes my Facebook headquarters tour.
